As law enforcement seems unable to assist me, and the person behind this campaign to defame me and interfere with my business and profession, she uses many alias names: Oma Hamou, Oma Mcconnell or Alexandra McConnell is what they call "judgment proof" meaning she has no money, I must place this blog here.
I would NOT even have written here, had this person not continually written her own false and defamatory statements herself and aided and abetted other personae writing "on her behalf" for the last three years. If she doesn't want me to say anything about her, she ought not have been continually blogging and writing about me much less aiding and encouraging others to do so as well.
The woman behind all of this goes by many names: Oma Hamou, Oma McConnell, Alexandra McConnell, Alexandra Hamou, Oma Demian, Alexandra Murphy, are the usual ones, but there are others. She uses a business name of "Enigma Royal Films, LLC" she also calls just "Enigma Films" and "Reseda Glass". The reason this woman and her "alleged" friends crusade to destroy me is simple. I learned about her genuine background, and she wants me silenced from speaking about it.
This woman admits that her actions are all motivated by her bitterness and hatred towards me, and this is the reason for her actions.
This woman, Oma Hamou, Oma McConnell, Alexandra McConnell, Alexandra Hamou, Oma Demian, Alexandra Murphy and her other aliases have a twenty year track record of FELONY CONVICTIONS, multiple arrests, failure to abide by the requirements of her probation for her felony convictions which lead to more arrests, many many civil judgments against her for hundreds of thousands of dollars, a history of writing bad checks, and she was arrested late in 2008 in San Bernardino California on a Felony Charge of Forgery of a Financial Instrument (she seems to have forged a large check) After 14 months of dragging the process out, she paid the Victim full restitution and the District Attorney dropped the Felony charge. She has a history of evictions and bad checks.
A complete dossier has been posted, with the details on her activities, notably passing bad checks, stiffing landlords for rent owed and trashing the houses she rents by reason of keeping literally dozens of cats and dogs and not cleaning up after them. This was confirmed by the fact that a woman who used to live in her house wrote on the internet THREE MONTHS before the suit was filed: "I lived with this lady, she is no good. SHE LIES. SHE HAS LIKE 50 CATS LIVING WITH HER AND HER HOUSE SMELLS LIKE SHIT AND CAT SPRAY AND PISS. She is dirty, filthy and uses old men for money I SEEN IT MYSELF. By the way Hamid's wife knows it was LIPOSUCTION you drained their bank account for, not cancer in your asshole. He had her sign a promissory note, co signed by long time co-conspirator Jim Sproul. She of course never PAID back the money. She, of course, never showed up in Court.

Robert Atchison
Won a Civil Judgment against Oma Hamou for her failure to pay him consulting fees as she promised him she would do. On March 24, 2011, in a Texas District Courtroom, Oma Hamou promised to pay Bob Atchison $15,000 to "settle" this debt. On April 7. 2011 Oma Hamou told Bob Atchison that she had "half the amount" and would send it to him "immediately". UPDATE: April 26, 2011 Oma Hamou telephoned Mr. Atchison telling him that she had the $15,000 in cash to pay him. Some weeks later now Atchison has still received NOTHING from Hamou so far, and Oma Hamou has disappeared without any further contact with Mr. Atchison. Many others report similar behavior from Oma Hamou.
Mr. Atchison is proceeding with Post Judgment Document Production demands from Oma Hamou. A District Court Judge has signed an order requiring her to schedule and appear at a deposition in Austin Texas no later than September 3 to disclose her assets, finances, and employment information, and she is further ORDERED to comply by providing the requested financial, employment and asset documentation to Mr. Atchison no later than August 20. She did nothing. Her failure to do these things resulted in an order of Contempt of Court.
August 2011: Hamou/McConnell tried to derail Mr. Atchison's debt collection with a last moment filing of a "Bill of Review". Hamou's Bill of Review was dismissed on July 26, 2011 by the Hon Judge Cooper of the District Court. Hamou now has no choice but to comply with the Court order.

Homeowner in Littlerock California who was selling his house using the services of Shari Porter agent with Big Valley Realty in Palmdale California. Shari Porter brought "Alexandra Moran" using an expired drivers license in the name of Oma Hamou to Mr. O'Connor as a "Qualified Buyer" of his home. Shari Porter insisted Oma Hamou be allowed to rent part of the home as a room mate of Mr. O'Connor until the sale closed. Porter kept informing Mr. O'Connor that Hamou was pre-qualified by lenders, yet never actually provided the required documentation proving this to O'Connor. Shari Porter told O'Connor that Hamou had deposited funds into escrow at Titan Escrow in Palmdale, but again refused to give O'Connor any actual escrow documents. Hamou delayed closing for a full five months, then refused to close when O'Connor demanded. She further refused to leave the property and now squats in the residence with four men, another woman and four or five children and literally ten or twelve dogs and forty to fifty cats. She has moved an old trailer and cargo boxes onto the property as well.

2011 "Alexandra Moran" rented a room from Patrick J. O'Connor, but presented an expired California Drivers License in the name of Oma Hamou. She then claimed to want to purchase the property. She delayed the purchase for FIVE MONTHS with numerous stories, and is now squatting on the property without permission nor paying rent . She lives there with her son, Nicholas Royal Moran, who has severe psychiatric disorders (his is currently under Conservatorship pursuant to the California Lanterman Petris Short Act) and has a history of violence, both domestic and with police. Mr. O'Connor himself witnessed Nicholas Moran beat his mother in front of him in the residence. She also lives with one Steve Fred Lee, who has over 15 criminal convictions for eluding police, indecent exposure and habitual driving with a revoked drivers license. Another squatter on the property is one Michael McBride who lives with four or five of his children also on the property. Hamou also has literally many dozens of cats and more than 10 dogs on the property. Hamou attempted to keep Mr. O'Connor from evicting her by filing a Restraining Order against Mr. O'Connor alleging he made threats of violence against her and her son. However, she did NOT file this order until a full TWO WEEKS after Mr. O'Connor left the residence and moved to Alaska! Hearing on the requested Restraining order was held Friday July 15. Hamou first requested a continuance! The Judge refused to delay the hearing. After the Judge examined her criminal record, arrest record and history of evictions and Judgments, the Judge in so many words called Hamou "a Criminal and Con Artist" recognized her string of VICTIMS and refused to grant the restraining order, and further told Hamou that while he could not order her out at the moment, she did have to leave O'Connor's property and pay him the rent owed. Hamou told O'Connor by email she will be out by September 1. Mr. O'Connor's attorney has begun Eviction Proceedings against Hamou McConnell and her other squatters. While Hamou wrote Mr. O'Connor that she would be "out of the house by September 1" she has hired a lawyer to delay the eviction proceedings. Reports indicate that the house is trashed, with old furniture in the yard, many old rusted trucks, tires, boxes and piles of trash are strewn across the property. Oma Hamou Alexandra McConnell filed for Bankruptcy with the Federal Court earlier in 2010. Here is her Bankruptcy Petition, this is the entire PDF file of 2mb, which is public record from the Court. She also filed tax returns with her lender trying to get a loan to purchase the O'Connor house. Comparing the two shows glaring discrepancies and untruths.

Oma Hamou owns two business entities, Enigma Films, Inc., and The Sarskaia Foundation plus Enigma Royal Films, LLC. Further, Oma Hamou owns and operates a website at www.OmaHamou.com, where she and alleged friends post information about her. Interestingly, Ms Hamou lists her own company, Enigma Films as her employer. The clear inference is that Enigma Films earns money with which to pay her as an employee. Yet, there is no declaration or disclosure of her ownership of these companies, nor disclosure of the value of these assets she owns.
HOWEVER: Her 2010 Tax Return states that she PURCHASED "Reseda Glass" in April 2010, three full months before the Bankruptcy filing.
Notice here in her Loan Application she lists $145,000 CASH as an asset, yet, she FAILS to identify exactly WHERE that cash is.
The Refai Judgment was just the previous year, yet she FAILED to disclose that to the lender. She lists small old debts, some as long ago as ten years, BUT FAILS TO DISCLOSE A SINGLE DEBT SHE LISTS ON THE BANKRUPTCY PETITION, JUST SIX MONTHS EARLIER. Interestingly, she doesn't list a SINGLE one of the debts on her Loan Application on her Bankruptcy Petition either!see below
Hamou received in excess of $50,000 in cash from Mr. Refai in May 2009, (see above) for which she signed a promissory note. Hamou made no disclosure of the whereabouts of this large sum of cash, nor did she disclose just where this substantial asset went. She FAILED to mention it to her lender as well...
Her 2010 IRS returns show "income" of $38,000 or $2,459 per month. She claims a "sole proprietorship" called "Reseda Glass" that "installs glass in high rise buildings" but has NO Federal Employer ID number, nor does she list any WAGES paid to any "employees". Is this almost 50 year old woman hanging off the side of a building installing glass ALL BY herself?
Her 2009 IRS Return, filed the same day (April 2011) swears that she was self employed earning $2,130 per month.
HOWEVER, her Bankruptcy Petition shows she claimed to have been employed for TEN YEARS by "Enigma Films and Glass Tech" earning $3,000 per month.
HOWEVER in, her LOAN APPLICATION Section IV "Employment Information" she wrote that "Reseda Glass" at the same address as her "residence", which is just actually a mail drop at a Fedex Office store, was her employer for TWO YEARS, and she earned $2459 per month.

This is further confirmed by an email from a former roommate who wrote on July 8, 2009: By the way Hamid's wife knows it was LIPOSUCTION you drained their bank account for, not cancer in your asshole.
August 23, 2010 on her website: yes she is still undergoing treatment for her cancer. I can definitely attest to the fact that she has indeed suffered from cancer. Those treatments are so hard on her that I have had to help her back to the car, then into her house and even into bed because they leave her so sick and weak that she cannot do anything.
Ask yourself if the following make any, rational or reasonable common sense:
This woman claims to be an actress and model, but for a decade steadfastly REFUSES to provide one single shred of evidence to support the allegation, not even a credit, reference or magazine issue. She says only "I was and I don't have to prove it. YOU have to prove I wasn't". Does that make sense?
This woman claims that her three felony convictions were not Her fault, but rather someone else's fault. Does THAT make sense?
This woman claims that her recent Felony Forgery Charges in San Bernardino are "just a big mistake" and "law enforcement and the DA" are on "her side" and "believe her", yet they STILL pressed charges and scheduling dozens of hearings over FOURTEEN MONTHS. Does THAT make sense??
This woman has claimed for six years non stop that I am being investigated by law enforcement and the FBI. Comedy Channel Axes Oma Hamou Sock Puppet Theatre
The Comedy Channel has announced the cancellation of the long-running Oma Hamou Sock Puppet Theatre due to plunging ratings.
According to Larissa Feinstein, Media Critic and Blogger, "the show just ran out of new ideas, it got boring, BORING. For a while the show was one of the funniest things out there, a virtual world of the absurd and the ridiculous. For years we laughed and cried with all of the imaginary characters and their inane antics. But the show just ran out of steam."
So how will the public react to the absence of their beloved Justin Edwards, Sandman, Michele Biernat, Jimmy Sproul, Mike Newson - and all the other sock-puppets?
"I just don't what I'll do without them", says Bob Atchison, a long term fan of the show, "it's been a highlight of my day for years and the end of the show will leave a hole in my world".

I am thrilled she is claiming to have an attorney again. Hamou needs legal help so she can understand what her options are in my case against her. As I have posted before she can pay the judgment she owes me, she can submit her documents and do her deposition - or she can do nothing and we move to the bench warrant. I am sure an attorney will explain this all to her and he can deal with Roger on everything.

The courts do not have to give permission to release documents obtained through discovery in a public court case. If a person can make an argument that documents should be kept private, that person must apply to the court for a nondisclosure order and receive one from the court.
Neither of those things happened in the UD action.
If Hamou wanted to keep her tax returns private, she should not have used them in a fraudulent loan application as part of a scam to acquire a house.
However, she did make that fraudulent loan application.
And now the IRS has her bankruptcy petition, the tax returns she used in her loan application, her loan application, her criminal and civil history, and some other things in which they are taking an interest.
And why do they have all this? Very simple. Because she went too far with this particular scam.

Of course she's in meltdown. This O'Connor home purchase scam has unwound further on her than anything she's tried since the Batchelor rent scam sent her to jail under $1 million bail.
She's been lucky (if that's what you can call it) recently in that her attempts to scam people fell short of completion and allowed her to duck criminal charges. Her attempt to sell O'Connor's motorcycle was aborted when the buyer got suspicious and refused to pay her the money. Her attempt to get a mortgage by fraud fell apart when the mortgage company needed certain information and proofs she could not provide, so no actual funds were given to her.
But the IRS does not proceed the same way as the police, and their enforcement powers are different and somewhat more broad-ranging.
The IRS has tax returns she submitted to a lender in which she claims to have acquired a company worth $2 million dollars, without any showing of how she obtained the resources to purchase that company.
The IRS has information about a court judgment against her for a $50,000 unpaid loan which was not reported as income.
The IRS has a loan application and related correspondence in which she claims to have $145,000 on hand as a down payment, without any showing of how she obtained that money.
The IRS has a sworn bankruptcy petition that is at odds on several key points with claims in her tax returns.
The IRS has information on quite a few judgments where she obtained money and other things of value without having reported any of it as income.
In short, the IRS has documents that claim quite a few resources, including large sums of cash, for which no source is identified and on which no federal tax has been paid.
She's screwed, and she's getting panicky. Especially as James Sproul is probably not happy that the IRS investigation will sooner or later get around to him and his shell operations.
Almost forgot.
There's also that little matter of being under a contempt of court order in Texas with sanctions.
And Hamou is just 13 days away from either having to submit to a debtor's exam or being put under further sanctions and a bench warrant.
Yes. She has plenty of reasons to be melting down. It must be very hard to concentrate on getting the next scam set up with all this going on.
I wonder if Shari Porter at Big Valley Real Estate is helping her this time around -- or if she will be picking her up again at the courthouse after another hearing.

Really? Well, what happened to that "case"?
I heard that Dave Slater dropped you as a client after handing you off to another law firm, which also then dropped you as a client.
You then lost the lawsuit by Bob Atchison, and you withdrew the lawsuit against Rob Moshein.
This doesn't sound exactly as if Dave Slater or any of your attorneys were highly impressed with your "case".
The only thing that happened from that round of litigation was that Bob Atchison got a judgment against you, not the other way around. And that is the judgment you were stupid enough to resurrect with that Bill of Review which now has you under a contempt order and will shortly result in a bench warrant being issued in Texas for your arrest.
And, Hamou ........ no Austin attorney is going to be stupid enough to file a case on your behalf before the matter of contempt is resolved, especially when he realizes that three of your prior attorneys have sued you for non-payment of fees.
For him to risk his own reputation before the local bench, he's going to want a lot more than the fees the likes of you can pay.

No one here ordered a credit report on you.
It was the mortgage lender, Rescom Financial Services, who pulled your credit report as a routine part of processing a loan application. And it was in the discovery materials that were released pursuant to a subpoena in a public court case. And it showed you had obtained credit under four different names (at least as far as this one bureau knew).
If you don't want things such as this to become public you ought not get yourself involved in an eviction proceeding which is a matter of public record.
As the judge reminded you when you complained there was an observer in the courtroom when you lost your motion for a protective order against O'Connor, court cases and their records are public in this country.
Oh, and good luck with the "offer" your attorney made to settle the Atchison case for $10,000 -- a fraction of what is now owing. He has been informed that this is not the first time you have made an offer to settle while trying to buy time and planning to renege as soon as you thought you were clear of the immediate crisis.
Just the same as when you called Hamid Refai's attorney, Thomas Ward, to discuss "settlement" terms once your scam of Refai hit the internet ........ and then hung up the phone the minute he asked you for a phone number.
Thirteen days and counting. Are the deposition materials in the mail yet?
Oh, and we know which attorneys in Austin have read the blogs about you and which have not. The only ones who did have declined to take your case, pretending a "conflict" or some such nonsense.

That offer to settle for $10,000 was totally bogus and Hamou knows it.
It was totally for the benefit of the lawyer Shane, to make HIM think she has some money.
WE already KNOW she doesn't. That first lawyer, the one who read my blogs and then developed a "conflict" (the same lame excuse dog turd Slater used to drop her...) was TOLD by Roger that Hamou has two choices and this in not negotiable. Period.
1. comply with the Court order and submit the documents AND attend the deposition BEFORE the next hearing for Contempt,
or
2. PAY THE JUDGMENT IN FULL! which, with the Court Ordered prejudment interest and post judgment interest is $19,860 (as of today and this number goes up $1.90 per DAY until ACTUALLY PAID) AND the $1,000 Court ordered Sanctions for a total of $20,860 (increasing until paid)
Thats it. There is NO settlement, she already tried that and LIED...NO negotiation. Period.

Of course, Rob, even if Hamou complies with the first requirement to submit financial information and submit to a debtor's exam (which she won't), that is not in lieu of paying the judgment. She will STILL be under a court order to pay the judgment.
The debtor's exam is simply to determine what assets can be levied upon for payment, not to give her another chance to argue she doesn't owe the money.
That matter has already been determined by the jury who heard her case (including her specious arguments that the documents Atchison used were fake), the judge who handed down the judgment, and the judge who reaffirmed the judgment when he dismissed the Bill of Review.
She owes Bob Atchison that money, and there is NOTHING she or any lawyer can do to eradicate that fact except to pay the judgment, the accrued interest, and the sanctions for contempt.

I fell for the lies of Oma Hamou in March when she promised to settle my judgment in the courtroom with the judge present. It was supposed to just take a few days before she had the money. Hamou lied to me week after week saying the money was almost ready to go and then she was going to bring it to Austin.

What the court record proves is that you showed the judge a copy of a check that you claimed proved you paid Cowan rent.
However, you did not anticipate that Cowan also had a copy of that same check with him in court -- a copy which clearly showed a non-sufficient funds stamp from the bank that was mysteriously missing from your copy of the check.
The judge then recessed to give you time to go to your bank to prove the bank had paid the check, as you claimed.
You came back into court that same day, saying the bank had made an error on your statement and now admitting to the judge that Cowan had not been paid rent.
You then failed to return to court when final judgment was rendered, evicting you from Cowan's house for non-payment of rent.
This is what the court record shows.

Yet "Admin" posted at 8:24 p.m. last night (9:24 p.m. PDT) that a restraining order had already been obtained.
If anyone bothers to read up on how restraining orders are obtained in California against non-spouses or non-partners, one finds that it takes at least a day. And that the clerk gives the protected person 5 copies of the order immediately. And that the order must be served on the person being restrained.
So, Hamou ......... why don't you post a restraining order issued before 9:24 p.m. last evening? You were, after all, given 5 copies if there was any such order.
We all know you can't, because no restraining order could possibly have been issued in the time frame you are claiming.

Let's look more carefully at the timeline during which she said she got a restraining order against Patrick O'Connor last night. (All times are normalized to Pacific Daylight Time.)
O'Connor's first email arrives at 2:47 p.m. (which is not necessarily when Hamou first saw it).
His second email arrives at 4:18 p.m.
The courts close at 5:00 p.m..
His third email arrives at 7:35 p.m.
At 9:24 p.m., "admin" posts that Hamou has already obtained a restraining order.
Really?
Even assuming Hamou saw the first email almost the instant it arrived and then raced off to the courthouse within minutes of receiving that first email, she would have had to fill out forms to give to a court clerk before 5:00 p.m., as there are no after-hours procedures for obtaining restraining orders.
That clerk would then put the request before a judge who is obligated to rule within 24 hours. If the judge issues the order, he signs it. The clerk then gives the applicant 5 copies of the order. One copy must then be served on the target of the order, and proof of service has to be retuned to the court.
So -- according to Hamou -- all this happened (including her travel time to the courthouse) between 2:47 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
This is akin to her claims on 9/11 that she was on a flight that took off from Boston after the planes involved in the attacks and that got her to Los Angeles by that same afternoon -- a literal impossibility, given that all air traffic was grounded at the nearest airports immediately after the attacks, that NO flights that departed Boston on 9/11 landed in Los Angeles that day, and that no form of alternate transportation could have gotten her the rest of the way to Los Angeles by the time she said she arrived.
She lies. Constantly. And she doesn't even bother to try to make the lies credible.
I agree, she'd post that TRO a dozen times by now if she had it.
If Oma Hamou is forced to suddenly flee the ranch I hope she will consider the welfare and safety of those innocent cats. They have done nothing and do not deserve to suffer for what she has done.

In short, your post last evening about having obtained a restraining order within a few hours of O'Connor's emails to you was a blatant lie.

It has worked, Your Decreptitude! I have been accepted as a mercenary at Base Camp Oma, as we are now calling it, for Operation: Desert Minimal Chance of Rain. I managed to mingle with a group of Hispanic humans waiting around outside of the local Home Depot when a rusty truck drove up with the large-jawed woman driving. The cab was filled with howling cats, frantically scratching at the windows to be set free. She ignored them, and motioned at three of us to get into the back of the truck. As per your instructions, O Wearer of the Sacred Jockey Shorts of Theta, I had procured a droopy mustache and sombrero as a disguise. The other Hispanics had looked curiously at me (you could hardly tell they were Hispanics at all, since they were wearing jeans and Tommy Hilfiger shirts. I felt pretty smug in my serape, let me tell you!), but I couldn't tell if this was because of my native dress or the fact that I am only three feet high, and the sombrero kept sliding down my face to rest on my shoulders.
Anyway, we reached the compound in Littlerock, and joined a crowd of other soldiers-for-hire that were milling in the front yard. The large-jawed woman climbed up on top of a crate (there were a lot of crates in the yard for some reason, as well as heaps of dog freeplow all over the place --- a lot of the other mercenaries kept stepping in it, and the smell was terrible!)
"Listen up, you retards!" the large-jawed woman bellowed. I had been distracted by the sight of her purple leggings and lime green top, but my attention was immediately front-and-center.

When Bruce and I emerged from our packing crate, I was walking a little bowlegged, but otherwise in good spirits. Our reunion had been, how shall I say it? Intense. But he was quickly distracted by the uniforms provided by the large-jawed woman for her defenders.
Remember the night we stayed in on the spaceship and watched the human service called Netflix, O Mighty and Grand Digging Instrument? That movie called 300?
I didn't mind it so much, but the tiny leather bikini looked a little ridiculous on someone of Bruce's frame. He wriggled into it while muttering obscenities. And when we met up with the other members of Oma's Home Guard they weren't that happy either. We stood in the dusty area in front of Base Camp Oma and tried to look as professional as a group of men and a three-foot alien can look while wearing very little covering their posteriors.
Strangely, the large-jawed woman looked satisfied as her eyes raked us up and down, then back up.
"I knew all those spare outfits were gonna come in handy some day! Pass out the shootin' irons."
Her assistant shuffled forward with a handful of old army pistols, BB guns and in my case, a water pistol.

Anyway, I drew treehouse duty. There were a couple of planks nailed across two branches in a place that allowed me to see anyone who might be approaching the perimeter fence. By this time, neighbors had begun to appear on their front lawns. I suppose it isn't every day that a house on their street is surrounded by burly men dressed in leather bikinis. Or maybe it is. I was visiting Minion Kyle in West Hollywood, and it happened there every day. Sorry. I digress.
Friday night wore on. Every ten minutes or so there would be a noise, and one of my fellow mercenaries would let loose a few quick rounds of ammunition, peppering the darkness. From my vantage point I could see into the house to where the large-jawed woman sat at her kitchen table, surrounded by what appeared to be dozen of Terran canines --- you know, the creatures you always say remind you of my cousin Erglin, O Blemish on the Celestial Chin of Theta. The assistant was sitting with her, and they were trying to talk while she typed on the computer. It didn't appear that she was getting anywhere fast, since after she had typed for a few minutes another human who looked like her would jerk the computer out of her hands and scamper to another part of the house to watch exciting film clips. Really exciting film clips. Then the large-jawed woman would stand up and roar "you bring that sumbitch back here, baby boy!" and he would scream back "Act of sexual intercourse you, momma!" and the assistant would knock his forehead on the table. It got so interesting that I forgot to watch for the approach of Mr. O'Connor's forces! Of course, even if they had come, the most I could do was get their kneecaps wet, given my height and the nature of my weapon.
Occasionally a neighbor would come out of his house and scream "would you shut the act of sexual intercourse up???" Then several of the mercenaries would spray his lawn with bullets and jeer as he ran into the house.
I wondered why the Terran security forces didn't come. This morning I found out that their new policy is not to answer anymore calls from this street or, as the officer I spoke to from the payphone said, "we wouldn't have time to do a damn thing all day."
When the sun came up this morning the carnage was terrible. Poor dogs and cats lay all over the yard, cut down by the mercenaries during the night.
"Well," Bruce said as he gazed at the littered ground, "that should cut down on the barking, at least."
You are right, Rob, I haven't had any contact with Patrick since that first day he called and I read those emails on Hamou's site. From what I read she looks like she is in big trouble with him. If I were her I'd clear out of his place as fast as I could. Why take the risk? She's squatting there and will have to leave in a few days anyway. I though my offer of a shelter option and concern for the cats was kind.
I know how she feels. When the Hamou-Sproul murder-for-hire plot against me was underway I didn't know what would happen next. Any moment a hired assassin could have shown up at a back window, or at the front door. Thank God the plot was foiled.

She's going to have to prove that her Mensa lawyers were preparing lawsuits against you.
And she's going to have to prove the things she has published about herself in emails and on the internet. That she ran a legitimate charity. That she was a legitimate movie producer owning a film company with around 100 employees. That she was on a flight from Boston to Los Angeles on 9/11 and barely escaped a harrowing end. That she lost employees and coworkers in the destruction of the World Trade Towers. That she has had breast, uterine, colon, and rectal cancer. That the process servers in the Hamid Refai case perjured themselves to the court. As these (and many others) are all claims she originated, the burden of proof will be on her to prove them, not on us to disprove them.
It will be a very long and expensive bundle of lawsuits with very, very long witness lists (at least on our side). Don Morton's family will be on them. And Detective Sherry Stanley. And Hamid Refai. And Eric Cowan. And Huiku Batchelor. And Detective Denise McCormick. And a representative of American Express. And every other one of her victims we can find and subpoena, as well as the people who have turned over emails to us.
The judge and jury will be given a very clear and detailed history of a con artist at work. And -- at long last -- it will all be memorialized in a public court record.
Now we all know what will happen. Her lawyers will get to know what she really is and abandon her in short order for non-payment of fees. And she will ask for continuance after continuance after continuance. And she will finally be forced to put on all her "proofs". And she will lose. And it will be because she was "unprepared".
It's all just another installment of the Oma Hamou Circus.
Meantime, the IRS audit will continue. She will eventually be forced out of O'Connor's house and will have to scam another landlord to put another roof over her head. And that landlord will end up in court, as her past four landlords have. And we will find out about it. And will we publish it.
And the list of people who are aware of her activity as a con artist will continue to grow, as will her list of victims.
She's courting disaster, and she's too insane to realize it.

I don't know if you actually wrote the email Hamou posted. If you did, I want you to know that while I share your frustration with her, and share your desire to see her brought to justice by the system she abuses, I can not support overt and direct threats of harm to anyone. Bob and Blake share this opinion as do Rebecca and Mitzi.
It is one thing to want to reclaim your property, rightfully so, and harming anyone. Yes she brings this all upon herself by squatting in your house without paying. BUT, I can't support you actually harming her, her mentally deranged son or animals.
She should just up and leave, if really that "afraid", and any Judge would question why she stays in your property IF that afraid. However, I urge you to retract your threats of any actual physical harm to her or anyone else.
I share your frustration at how this con artist plays the justice system to her advantage and to harm you and others, but there is a better way.

Oma, I am not your friend, but I just read that last horrible email you posted in your forum and you have to get out of there as fast as you can. This looks very dangerous.

She has pushed more than one of her victims and their families to despair. Now, when it turns out she finally might have pushed someone too far, she is still pretending she's just a good, religious girl who has done nothing to other people.
I certainly do not countenance any violence against her, and I share Bob Atchison's belief that eventually the justice system will catch up to her as it is now finally doing in Texas.

I just got up and read the blogs.
First, to Mr. O'Connor: I completely understand that you have a level of frustration in this situation that rises exponentially every time she posts something that attacks you. But take a page from Rob and Bob's playbook with her. The way in which you win against Oma Hamou is through the courts. Every time that someone has brought her into a courtroom, she has lost. The process of getting her into the courtroom may be time-consuming, but nevertheless, it is the most effective means of dealing with her.
I don't like the language when Oma Hamou uses it when she posts under the name of "Snoopy" and directs it at Rob, Bob, Blake, Mitzi, Penelope or even me, although I recognize it for what it is: the last resort of a badly educated person with few intellectual resources. But if I don't like it from Oma, I don't like it from you, either, Mr. O'Connor. I'm a woman, and vulgar descriptions of my anatomical parts aren't calculated to make me sympathetic.
There is no place for threats of physical violence at all, either directed at Oma Hamou or the poor unfortunate son. According to what I have read, this is a mentally afflicted individual who has had a troubled upbringing.
So please, Mr. O'Connor, continue the eviction process through legal means.
As for you, Oma, there is a simple solution to this problem for you. Get out of that damned house as soon as possible. In addition to your son, you have animals that depend upon you for succor. You know Mr. O'Connor, I do not --- there has been no contact between us at all. If you genuinely are afraid, and I certainly would be if I were in your shoes --- then get the hell out of that house as fast as possible.
I have been struck for these past few years by the forebearance that Bob Atchison showed you in the matter of his judgment. If you hadn't been maligning him to the point of exasperation, I doubt that he would be pursuing the settlement with such fervor. But that's Bob. Hamou knows exactly what happened with Lupoli, her lies about it are astounding. It was her own business associate, John Lupoli - whom I had never met or spoken to before he called me - who exposed the Hamou-Sproul plot to kill me. As Rob wrote the plot was exposed before he was hired and given the money. Hamou was not arrested because I chose to expose the plot before Lupoli was wired to save my life. Without the proof of the wire there was not enough to be sure of a conviction. That was my choice.
Lupoli called me out if the blue to tell me Hamou and Sproul offered him money to come to Austin and 'get rid of me', 'make me go away' and hurt me. That's what Lupoli said and I believed him.
Remember Lupoli was a business partner to Hamou. If he was lying then she has a beef with him, but I believed him then and I still do.
And she claims she needs to be protected from me!
Hamou will never admit to what Lupoli reported for obvious reasons.
I have always told the truth about this and am happy to talk to anyone who wants to learn more. You never have to worry about what you say if it is always the truth.
People can judge who they want to believe, Hamou or me. For 6 years the American justice system has stood behind me and the Texas courts are solidly behind me. She repeats her lies over and over again, but she has lost every time. She will loose again.
Hamou claims that Lupoli and I knew each other prior to the murder-for-hire plot and that he and I made it up in a conspiracy to get her sent to jail.
She brings up a call from his wife a few days prior to him calling me to expose the plot. This was a call from Lupoli's wife Patricia asking for a "reference" on Hamou and I returned that call. After she made contact with me John Lupoli called.
I never knew either John Lupoli or his wife prior to this. They were business partners with Hamou. She hired them and his organization to get her "charity" Sarskaia NGO status at the UN.
Did Lupoli know that the phone number for Sarskai rang at a community bank in Los Angeles that had never heard of Hamou or her fake charity?
Today's Austin sideshow melodrama is just another one of Hamou's desperate moves to stop the unveiling of her history as a con artist and to stop the inexorable move toward a bench warrant in Texas for contempt of court.
It will not work. The public revelation of her history of scams will continue. The stories of her growing list of victims will be told. The bench warrant will issue.

Well, you can see what Hamou, Newson and Sproul were talking to Lupoli about in those emails.
Lupoli turned on Hamou and Sarskaia in the middle of June.
Oma's "bacon" has long since gone bad.
She is no longer scamming people to make some movie and be driven around St. Petersburg to dispense fake promises left and right. She is now scamming people to keep a roof over her head and food on the table.
Hell, she even had to scam her own realtor for the money to get to Austin the past few times. I wonder how happy Shari Porter is now about picking up Hamou from the courthouse the last time a judge threw out her petition for a restraining order. (Add yet another elderly woman to her list of victims.)
Bob, let's hope Hamou actually does go to the Austin police with her malarkey about threats from you and Rob. You can show the police these emails Rob just posted, her long history of arrests, convictions, and civil judgments -- and the freshly minted Texas contempt of court order.
That's sure to get them to throw all their resources at investigating her complaints. And shortly thereafter hell will freeze over.

If I recall, this coming weekend is the deadline for the 20 days Hamou had to comply with the court's contempt order for discovery and sanctions.
Have any discovery materials been received? Any check arrive in the mail? Any word from her lawyer about when and where he wants to schedule the debtor's exam?
And does Roger Borgelt have his motion for a bench warrant ready to go on Monday if she has not complied by then?
So far nothing from Hamou, nothing. No surprise there.
Of course there was that posting on her forum you found where she posted recently she would never pay me a dime.
Considering that admission I am sure there will be no check, no documents and no deposition. In any case there is no way a deposition could be done in the next two days.
So it appears it's over for Hamou - we will move on to the next steps to compel.
Of course, I still expect more devious deception, attempted slithery tricks and bold-faced lies from Hamou over the next few days and weeks. She'll try something. Just wait and see.
Roger has everything good to go. He will ask for a SECOND ORDER OF CONTEMPT OF COURT, and include

I called 661-974-7200 during the hours the clerks accept phone calls (8:30-10:30 and 1:30-3:30). I asked whether a TRO or any civil action had been filed by an Alexandra McConnell against a Patrick O'Connor.
The lady with whom I spoke found nothing in the computer, so she asked me when it would have been filed. I told her probably within the past week or two. So she put me on hold while she checked for filings that had not yet been uploaded into their computer database.

Hamou, you posted a phone number for the Michael Antonovich Courthouse and suggested we call it to find out about the action you said you filed and that is on its way by certified mail to Patrick O'Connor.
I called the number. When the option menu was not specific enough, I punched "0" and was connected to a clerk. I asked the clerk whether a TRO or any other action had been filed against a Patrick O'Connor by an Alexandra McConnell in the past two weeks. The answer was "no".
You say this is a lie.
If it is a lie, all you have to do is post the type of action, the filing date, and the case number of the action. You posted the prior TRO against O'Connor in full on your forum. You have posted the various pleadings you have filed in other cases over and over for years. (Of course, you never posted any actual judgments, as they all went against you. But you have certainly been willing to post your pleadings without reservation.)
If you do not do so on this occasion, it will be further indication of one of two things: that you are lying about filing an action against O'Connor, just as you have lied for years about filing lawsuits against Bob Atchison, Rob Moshein, Penny Wilson, and "their ilk"; or that you filed something that the court would not process.
So, what's the story? Did you run into the same dead end in California that you ran into in Austin?

It is up to your -- er, Hamou's -- attorney to challenge the date set for a hearing. It's not up to Bob Atchison or his attorney to find a date that suits you -- er, Hamou.
And it's a farce, anyway. We know you will not set foot in Texas, as you are ALREADY under a contempt order there. If you show up, you will be either held or forced to post a bond before you'll be allowed to depart without complying with the court's multiple orders to submit to discovery.
As for your other "legal" business in Los Angeles on November 18 ........ we know of no such thing. The Superior Court number where you said a clerk would verify that you had filed something against O'Connor in fact verified only that they had no such record.
And, of course, you have failed to post any such pleading or filing of process or any proof thereof.

It doesn't exist.
We have, however, finally found what was filed by Hamou. It seems the court computer system has finally caught up.
On October 28, she filed a pleading for civil harassment against O'Connor with a request for a Temporary Restraining Order. Despite her repeated lies that a Restraining Order is in place, all she has, in fact, succeeded in procuring is a show-cause hearing to see whether a temporary order should be issued.
This is very far from what Hamou has been claiming. (Remember that she posted on October 27 that she had already obtained a Restraining Order against O'Connor, a day before she even filed the request for a TRO. So, once again, she is caught in a lie.)
And the pleading was interesting on another count. She applied for a waiver of court fees, which is available only to indigent plaintiffs. It will be interesting to see what the judge thinks when he is shown her loan application in which she claimed to have a $145,000 cash down payment for O'Connor's house and to own a business worth $2 million.
It would seem her pleading in this new matter is yet another proof that she was lying in her fraudulent loan application.
As for that show-cause hearing being on November 18, well, that's Hamou's problem, not Atchison's. It will be interesting to see if her lawyer applies for a different hearing date in Austin on the grounds that his client is engaged in other legal matters elsewhere. Such a request will carry the promise that his client will appear upon an agreed-upon date in Austin.
But won't her lawyer look the fool in front of the court when his client still doesn't show after he represents to the court that she will?
Oh, well, he won't be the first lawyer who's dumped her.
And as for her "big surprise" for Moshein and Atchison ....... the big surprise will be when the court refuses to entertain any other pleadings on her behalf on any topic until she settles the outstanding judgment and the contempt orders against her.

Interesting news. Not only has O'Connor received no service of any notice Hamou claimed she sent about some hearing this week, it appears that law enforcement in Alaska has said they will decline to serve anything sent there.
It seems they have had a discussion with Detective DM in Palmdale about Hamou's activities there, and they were somewhat appalled at what they heard. As they are not required to serve out-of-state process and only do so as a courtesy, they do not feel that such courtesy is warranted when it comes to Hamou.
So I guess we'd better have an observer in the courtroom this Friday in Lancaster. Based on her past shenanigans, Hamou is quite capable of presenting the court with forged proof of service on O'Connor.
If she tries that stunt, it'll be useful to know.
Then, of course, there is the hearing in Austin this Friday. I wonder if her lawyer is going to come up with a legal maneuver as clever as that Bill of Review. That's going to be a hard one to top.

Do you remember that some time ago the current owner of Nancy's Reseda Screen & Glass said that people periodically came by her business looking for a woman who was writing checks on a closed Reseda Screen & Glass account? She also said that someone from "BMW Credit" came by as part of an investigation of a car that went missing after Jim Sproul and Oma Hamou agreed to take over the payments but instead disappeared with the car.
Well, guess what? It turns out that in 2008 the BMW dealership in Glendale, CA (which Hamou gives out as her residential and business address) sued a woman named Alexandra Moran. And, of course, we know that Alexandra Moran is the alias Hamou used when moving into Patrick O'Connor's house.
And guess what else? It turns out the real Alexandra Moran went through a divorce not long before Hamou began using the name.
It makes one wonder -- did Hamou steal Alexandra Moran's identity as a result of divorce paperwork containing her personal information that either Hamou or her friend Debbie (of Advanced Paralegal Services) encountered?
We know that Hamou stole the identities of contractors for her fake film company in order to obtain American Express cards in their names. We know that Hamou has used the social security numbers of two dead people. I wonder how she happened upon the name "Alexandra Moran" to use as an alias.
Or is it just all a strange coincidence that BMW Credit was looking for a person who wrote checks on a closed Reseda Screen & Glass account, that Reseda Screen & Glass was Jim Sproul's old business, that Hamou adopted the alias "Alexandra Moran", and that Pacific BMW just happened to sue an Alexandra Moran at about that time?
Here’s a flash: there has been a white BMW at the house in which Hamou is squatting in Little Rock.
So let’s review those coincidences:
- A few years ago someone from BMW Credit comes to Nancy’s Reseda Screen & Glass looking for the people who wrote a check on a closed Reseda Screen & Glass account. They are looking for the people who took over the payments on a BMW and then disappeared with the car without paying.
- Reseda Screen & Glass is a company that Jim Sroul used to own.
- Jim Sproul has been an accomplice of Oma Hamou for years (including the scam against Hamid Refai, who has a judgment against Sproul and Hamou jointly).
- Oma Hamou moved into a house owned by Eric Cowan, using the alias “Alexandra McConnell”.
- She wrote checks to Cowan on a closed Reseda Screen & Glass account (just as happened, coincidentally, to Pacific BMW). He obtained an Unlawful Detainer against her and had her evicted.
- Pacific BMW sued an Alexandra Moran in 2008 relating to a BMW that was sold through a brokered deal.
- Pacific BMW is in Glendale, CA, the address Hamou has given for years as her place of domicile and business, using a mail drop box number there as her “apartment number” on loan applications and federal tax returns.
- In 2008, Oma Hamou is stopped by police in Los Angeles County. She cannot produce a license, registration, or proof of insurance. She is cited and given a court date. She fails to appear, and a bench warrant is issued for her arrest.
- Oma Hamou moved into Patrick O’Connor’s house using the alias “Alexandra Moran”.
- Hamou obtained electric service from Southern California Edison at O'Connor's house using the alias "Alexandra Moran".
- There is a white BMW at the house in which Hamou is squatting in Little Rock.
Now maybe this is all just a coincidence. After all, someone does win Powerball every few weeks. And the odds are about the same.
Friday will be a real windfall for the law profession.
Hamou will be paying a lawyer to stand in front of a judge in Lancaster with no defendant having been served.
And her lawyer in Austin, who was served on her behalf, will be listening to a judge issue another contempt order against her and, in all likelihood, a bench warrant for her arrest.
Yes, a real windfall for the lawyers. Until they try to cash the checks, at any rate.

Someone in the case of Finchey Corp. of California (DBA Pacific BMW) vs. Alexandra Moran applied to have the case file destroyed and the case purged from the system.
But the case is still in the system, and it turns out there was another way to find out what happened.
And guess what?
"Alexandra Moran" purchased a BMW through a brokered deal. This means that Pacific BMW was not the actual seller, but was an intermediary between an original buyer of a BMW who could no longer make payments and had found another buyer to take over those payments. As BMW credit was the financer of the original purchase and was going to accept the new buyer on the debt, the deal was brokered by Pacific BMW.
And this is exactly what the owner of Nancy's Reseda Screen & Glass told us -- that BMW credit was there looking for a person who had promised to take over payments on a BMW but had not made the payments.
And that "someone" had a connection to Reseda Screen & Glass, which is why BMW credit had gone there in search of the car.
And we know Hamou has at least two connections to Reseda Screen & Glass. Her accomplice, Jim Sproul, used to own it. And it is the checks from a closed Reseda Screen & Glass bank account that Hamou has used on multiple occasions in her scams.
It appears that she had been using the alias "Alexandra Moran" long before she used it to scam O'Connor and Southern California Edison.
It will be interesting to see the pictures O'Connor has of that white BMW -- and to see whether the year and model matches the BMW that was obtained by fraud in that brokered deal.

What you have is a temporary restraining order, which is something that is issued temporarily only on the claims of one party to a dispute. As you well know by your failed earlier attempts to get a restraining order against Rob Moshein and against Patrick O'Connor, you don't have a good track record of actually satisfying a court that a restraining order should issue.
If you properly serve O'Connor with notice of a hearing, then he will either make the choice to defend himself or to let a restraining order issue by default.
If you do not properly serve him with notice -- and that you have not done -- then he is under no obligation to appear.

We have proof that she filed a federal bankruptcy petition and submitted federal tax returns to a mortgage lender that contain mutually-exclusive claims that, therefore, prove at least one of them contains fraudulent information.
We have proof that bench warrants have been issued for her failures to appear in court after having been legally served or summoned.
Beyond the above documentary evidence, we have witnesses who will testify about their dealings with her over a period of years, all telling an uncannily similar story of how she works her cons.
Assembling this proof been a years-long effort involving the work of many people, professional and otherwise.

Hamou was seen leaving court Friday afternoon driving a white 2-door Audi with California License Plate 5XXY188.
That plate is registered to a Dana XXXXXXX who lives north of San Francisco.
But Dana is still in possession of her Audi (which is not white). It turns out that when she first bought the car, it was delivered by the dealer with plate 5XXY188 on it. However, Dana sub-plated the car with a vanity plate immediately after purchase.
In California, when a car is sub-plated, the registration information still tracks back to the original plate. That is why the registration of plate 5XXY188 comes back to Dana's Audi and matches Dana's VIN -- even though Dana's Audi has not had that plate on it for over four years.
THE CAR HAMOU WAS DRIVING ON FRIDAY HAD A STOLEN PLATE ON IT.
Coupled with the fact that she is also driving a Cadillac with a BMW-registered plate on it, it's now clear what is going on.
Hamou and Steve Lee (her tow-truck driver roommate) are running a stolen car ring in which they switch plates on cars in an attempt to escape detection.
The police in Dana's jurisdiction now have all this information, and they will be contacting the Palmdale Sheriff's Department shortly.

While the plate is matched to a 1994 Cadillac, the registration is in the name of Jennifer L. Jones, not Steve Lee.
Did the Palmdale Sheriiff's Department tell you that?
Your claim that the Cadillac is "his" is false. That car has been at the house far longer than the 30 days in which California requires that registration be transferred to a new owner. So you are claiming that Steve Lee owns a car that has never been registered in his name.
Did you also ask the Sheriff's Department to check 5XXY188? Did you explain why you were seen getting into a car with that plate on it last Friday at the Lancaster Courthouse? And how that plate is registered to a woman in northern California who was not in Los Angeles Country last week and who did not lend her car to anyone?
You do realize, I take it, that the Courthouse has state-of-the-art video surveillance in its parking lot? The police will be able to tell what car you got into if they want to check.
File all the criminal charges you want, Hamou.
Our means of obtaining the registration information from license plates is entirely legal . . . and the police know why.

Since the Audi plate proves plates are being selected to put on cars that match the make and approximate year of the cars, who's to say that the plate on the Cadillac in your yard is matched to the actual VIN of that car?
You say Steve Lee has a bill of sale. Big deal. You wrote a bill of sale for a motorcycle you did not own and had no right to sell. All it takes is a pen and a piece of paper. And you have plenty of experience with forgery and document alteration. And check alteration. And loan fraud. And bankruptcy fraud. And tax fraud.
Besides, even if Steve Lee did actually buy that Cadillac, it is illegal not to transfer the registration to his name. And the DMV records prove he did not.
And no word from Lawyer Shane today. Will he be able to report to the court tomorrow that the money for a full settlement is in his escrow account?

A little more information on that 1994 Cadillac that Hamou now says is owned by Steve Lee but earlier told Patrick O'Connor was her car.
That car has quite a checkered history, having been registered at one point as a commercial vehicle in Arizona. It has also been through used car dealers and been run through auction, having had seven different registered owners.
New titles and registration to it have been issued in 1994, twice in 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2010.
The most recent title was issued to Jennifer L. Jones on October 14, 2010.
None of these registered owners are Steve Lee or any of Hamou's known aliases.
Is there some reason Steve Lee doesn't want that car registered to him, even though Hamou claims he is the owner and has a bill of sale proving it?
Or could Jennifer L. Jones be a new Hamou alias?

Not one of the people or entities who successfully sued you, including Bob Atchison, had to commit fraud or any other misdeeds to win the case. Those cases were won when your actions were laid out before a judge or jury.

Blake, I suspect it was the American Express scam that funded everything for years. Hundreds of thousands of dollars was racked up in just a couple of months using those cards that were issued in David Davidson's, Mark and Peggy Anderson and Don Morton's names. I can see lots of airline tickets and merchandise charges being made, maybe even travelers checks, who knows for sure. The judgment is for $400,000 plus. These were not legitimate business expenses, Hamou knew she could never pay back the amounts she was charging. I assume she lived off what she stole from American Express for a year or more.
I certainly had nothing to do with American Express suing Hamou! She was cut off by American Express for non-payment and sued without me even knowing about it. I discovered the lawsuit and judgment much later. It shocked me.
I forgot to mention Oma Hamou had her own card as well.

Ex-wife of Scottish nobleman arrested again on theft charges
Police say Amanda Grimes obtained credit card information by advertising fake Hawaii rental.

A Scottish aristocrat's former wife who spent six months in a Texas prison last year for several Travis County thefts is back in jail after Austin police said she used the same scheme--online rentals of a fictitious Hawaiian vacation home--to obtain and illegally use victims' credit card information.
Amanda Grimes, also known as Amanda Leigh Movius, has been arrested on four charges of credit card abuse and theft and remains in the Travis County Jail.
Earlier this year, court documents said, Grimes took the credit card numbers of two victims, including a well-known California entrepreneur, who thought they were booking an island home and used the information to instead rent houses for herself in Austin.
"There is no vacation rental property in Hawaii," an arrest affidavit said.
Grimes used a similar story to dupe previous victims, including a California newspaper journalist and a Canadian businessman, according to police and court records. She pleaded guilty on three theft charges and was sent to prison in December 2009. She was released in June 2010.
Grimes, who grew up in Alaska and has described herself as a movie screenwriter, was known in her former life as Lady Amanda Bruce and has said that she met her former husband, Lord Charles Bruce, a descendant of Robert the Bruce, in 1989. The couple had three children, who still live in Scotland.
Before divorcing and returning to the United States in 2000, Grimes opened a children's clothing store in Scotland and was accused of abandoning the business and leaving creditors hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt, according to published reports.
She has said that she later began making frequent trips from homes in California and Seattle to Austin, bonding with locals at places such as Jo's Coffee and the Driskill Hotel. Police said she began using a laptop to carry out her vacation home scheme.
According to arrest affidavits in the latest cases, in late September, Grimes charged $2,750 to the credit card of Travis Katz, the founder and CEO of a website that helps users build trip itineraries based on the recommendations of friends and other travelers. Katz, who could not be reached for comment, thought he was booking a Hawaiian vacation home, police said.
Grimes then used Katz's credit card information for the $2,750 down payment on a rental home in South Austin, police said.
An affidavit said the Austin homeowner, Valerie Schuster, grew suspicious about why Grimes was using Katz's credit card. Grimes said Katz was her accountant, the affidavit said.
Schuster said she later typed Grimes' name into Google several times but found no information about her. Later, when she tried other key words, she discovered multiple media reports about Grimes' criminal history.
"I just gasped and said, 'This is bigger than we thought,'" she said.
She called police, and officers detained Grimes at the rental property while they investigated the report earlier this month.
Detectives contacted Katz, who told them that he found several fraudulent credit card transactions after booking with Grimes and that he canceled the card.
Grimes "expressed anger that Katz's credit card was canceled," the affidavit said.
After they started investigating, police said they learned that this summer, Grimes paid $1,700 to lease a home in Austin and gave the owner a credit card number that belonged to a woman in Colorado. The Colorado woman told police that she had booked a vacation home with Grimes and discovered several fraudulent transactions on her next statement.
Austin police financial crimes Detective Michael Morgovnik said he interviewed Grimes, who told him that the thefts were the work of someone else.
But at the end of the interview, Morgovnik didn't believe her.
"I was just like, 'Amanda, you are full of it,'" he said.

Police say the former Lady Amanda Bruce became national scam artist based in Austin.
GATESVILLE — Amanda Grimes walks into the visitors area of her new home, looks through the glass that separates her from the world and begins telling her story.
Twenty years ago, she was Scottish elite. She talks of days spent in a 30,000-square-foot home outside Edinburgh with maids and cooks at the ready. Her lifestyle was high-society, and she recalls wearing $5,000 Chanel dresses to charity events and dinner at some of the country's finest restaurants.
Her husband had been one of Scotland's most eligible bachelors before his whirlwind courtship with Grimes, who met him while visiting from her native Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1989.
"It was exciting, and we would live it up," Grimes said. "I wasn't infatuated with the lifestyle, but I loved my life."
Today, she is Texas jail inmate No. 1614050. She wears a white prison jumpsuit and is a convicted con artist. Police say she scammed untold amounts from victims who include a Canadian businessman and a California newspaper journalist.
Austin police began building a case against Grimes while she was living here last year after receiving information that she was posing as a rental agent for a vacation house in Hawaii. She took the money of prospective tourists but had no home to offer, according to authorities.
"She didn't care about what she was doing, about who she hurt, but she was very good at it," said Austin police Detective Carl Satterlee. "She was very much out for herself to make money."
According to police and court documents, Grimes has used several aliases — she was known in her former life as Lady Amanda Bruce — and operated her vacation home scam with a laptop computer and the Internet. She took payments through PayPal, they said.
In January 2009, detectives said, she also used a fake name — and the Washington driver's license of another woman — to identify herself to police officers investigating a disturbance she was causing outside her Austin hotel. They charged her with using someone else's identification.
In recent months, Grimes' fall from socialite to inmate has been discussed on National Public Radio, written about in the Los Angeles Times and followed closely by European tabloids and newspapers.
Internet message boards have devoted pages to her and include comments from reported victims, such as one who said, "Let's get this (woman) put away for a very long time."
Grimes recently consented to her first interview from behind bars at the Woodman State Jail in Gatesville, about 100 miles north of Austin.
During the hourlong conversation, Grimes, blond and attractive, talked convincingly about her life in staccato bursts, flashing a pleasant smile that can invite friendship. But some of what she says also can raise doubts.
Despite pleading guilty to four felonies, Grimes denies breaking the law.
Her two-decade path from Scotland to Texas includes stops in Washington state and California, where she said she worked as a screenwriter under an assumed name that she declined to provide.
She said her permanent home is a beachside cottage in Carmel, Calif., but wouldn't provide the address because she said she did not want it to be public.
Several years ago, Grimes also started extensive trips to Austin — she said friends introduced her to the city — and stayed weeks at a time at the Hotel San Jose on South Congress Avenue and the downtown Omni.
She said she bonded with locals at places such as Jo's Coffee and the Driskill Hotel and provided names and phone numbers of a couple. Several said they have only unkind words for Grimes and declined to comment further.
She readily provides responses to almost any question about allegations against her. The cases, she said, are results of misunderstandings that she could have easily cleared up had she had her laptop behind bars.
Grimes said she consented to a plea agreement to resolve three charges of theft and one charge of fraudulently using identifying information and was sentenced Dec. 15 in Travis County court to 13 months in jail. She wants to return to Scotland and to her three children, ranging in age from 19 to 16. Probation would have made that impossible, she said.
"As hard as it is being in jail, it's really not that hard," Grimes said. "I probably wouldn't trade it. I have a certain perspective on a different society, and I'm making the most of it without question."
Alaska to Scotland
Grimes, 41, grew up as Amanda Movius in Alaska, the daughter of a municipal engineer and lawyer and a teacher-turned-homemaker.
She left Fairbanks when she turned 18 and enrolled in the University of Washington, where she said she studied business.
While on vacation in Scotland in 1989, she said, she was invited to a party where she met Lord Charles Bruce, a descendant of Robert the Bruce.
"When I met Charlie, I didn't have a clue who he was," she said. "It was just a typical boy-meets-girl situation."
Bruce could not be reached for comment, but widespread news coverage in Europe confirms their relationship.
She said they were married eight years but grew apart in the later years to become more like co-parenting best friends, Grimes said.
"At the end of the day, I felt very isolated," she said. "It was kind of difficult for us to sustain a marriage."
Before leaving Scotland in 2000, Grimes opened a children's clothing store, Topsy Turvy. She was accused of abandoning the business and leaving creditors hundreds of thousands in debt, according to published reports.
Grimes said the person from whom she bought the business was responsible for the debt, not her.
Grimes returned to the United States and moved to Washington state, where she met and married real estate developer David Grimes, who could not be reached for comment.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Amanda Grimes pleaded guilty to second-degree theft in May 2007 for skipping out on a Seattle hotel bill and using stolen credit card information.
After her divorce, she said, she moved to California, bought her cottage home in Carmel and worked as a screenwriter.
Several years ago, Grimes said she started frequent trips to Austin.
During one of her stays last year, she met Robert Schambach III at Jo's Coffee. She asked to use his laptop to look up something on the Internet, and the two struck up a conversation about script writing.
They met about six more times, he said.
At one point, Schambach said, she e-mailed him a photo of herself with actors Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson and Keanu Reeves, saying she'd met them through her work.
"Most of her stories were pretty believable," he said. "She seemed to have her act together and make sense, but you knew something was amiss."
Over time, Grimes said, she decided to make Austin a second home.
"Just walking over the (Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge) and seeing the rotunda of the Capitol, it's just a feeling you get when you meet someone," she said. "Austin felt like a good fit, and it still does, even though I spent some difficult months there."
Investigated in Austin
Austin was a place where police say she carried out her crimes.
Last spring, Paula Swiggum, a nursing professor in Michigan, was scouring the Internet looking for a vacation home in Hawaii. She was going there with her husband and several of their closest friends.
She decided to try to follow the success of a family member and search Craigslist.
"I saw this lovely home for rent for what we considered a very reasonable price," she said.
Swiggum said she shared several phone calls and e-mails with Grimes, a woman she thought was named Bethanie Jones. Swiggum said she then sent a $2,000 deposit using PayPal.
She said she soon grew suspicious when she sent an e-mail asking for the address of the house and got no response. A few days later, she got a call from Satterlee, the detective in Austin, who was investigating Grimes' PayPal account. He told her she'd been scammed.
"She was very convincing," Swiggum said. "She was very friendly. She asked us about our group, how we came to know each other."
According to an arrest affidavit, Grimes also accepted $5,000 from a Canadian businessman for the home in Hawaii.
But Satterlee thinks Grimes probably had many other victims who did not know where to report what happened to them.
Authorities in Smith County also are investigating Grimes in a case involving the travel editor for the Los Angeles Times, who said she booked a home with Grimes for her wedding. Payment for the home was cashed at a bank in Tyler, authorities said.
No charges have been filed.
Police began investigating Grimes when they received a call from a man whom Grimes had met at the Driskill Hotel bar and asked for help with banking transactions. He later worried that she was committing white-collar crimes.
Grimes has her own side of the story.
In the interview, she said that she had permission from a woman she'd met in Hawaii named Bethanie Jones to rent the house. She said Jones had told her to keep 20 percent of all bookings for her fee.
Grimes said that in each case, she withheld her 20 percent and sent the remaining money to an address in Hawaii that she had for Jones.
Police said they could never find anyone named Bethanie Jones.
Grimes said she also has an explanation for handing Austin police the driver's license of another woman.
She said that while visiting Hawaii, she'd given a bartender her driver's license as part of the club's rule for running a tab. When he returned it, he gave her the wrong person's, Grimes said.
Despite professing her innocence, Grimes said she is convinced that she did right by her family by pleading guilty.
In prison, she said, she has been able to devote several hours each day to writing. She said she's sold a romantic comedy movie plot and wants to complete other deals soon.
She hopes to complete her sentence in June.
"I'll be out in time to spend summer with my children," she said. "I'm just ready to put this behind me."
